One day after being shot down one of the planes of the presidential guard, the Colombian FARC guerrillas have stepped up their attacks against the public force in Cauca, southern Midwest. In its ranks, women combatants and children going to the line of battle with rifle in hand are observed.
Indigenous communities, who have declared themselves neutral in the conflict, demanding the withdrawal of troops from both sides and have organized to seize war materiel and bombs used against guerrilla army.
